In the third episode of The Heavy Hearts Club podcast, we discuss issues that have been weighing on my heart lately in the wake of the last two episodes which include my own battle with alcohol use and getting sober and a physical transformation in the wake of a very active eating disorder.

We tackles controversial topics head on such as severe emotional trauma stemming from childhood, eating disorders (specifically binge eating disorder), substance abuse, addiction, and alcoholism.

We explore beginning a transformation journey of any kind while bearing the constant weight of trauma or grief and how physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting it can be to enact change while carrying pain.

This episode discusses the genetic component of addiction, coping with trauma and stress through using unhealthy methods such as food and alcohol. Erin also shares her personal journeys with her own eating disorder and alcohol use.

Episode 3 talks about getting sober and therapy and managing all aspects with healthy coping mechanisms and how often that can feel very isolating.
